Who we are

Pundit League is a free Premier League prediction game. The controller for the personal data described here is Emil Barbuta, sole operator of Pundit League, reachable at emil@aiquila.com.

What we collect and why

• Your name, email address, and profile picture, received from Google when you sign in. Your name identifies you on the leaderboard.
• Your country, only if you choose to provide it. It is hidden from other players unless you turn it on in your profile.
• Your predictions and the points they score.
• Server access logs, including your IP address, kept by our host for security and troubleshooting.

Legal basis

We process your account and predictions to provide the game you signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract). We keep access logs to protect the service against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests).

Reminder emails are part of that game rather than marketing: when a matchweek is nearly closed and you still have fixtures to call, we email you. At most twice per matchweek, and not at all once you have called every match you still can. You can turn them off at any time on your profile, and every reminder links to that setting.

We also email you when somebody invites you to a league, naming who invited you and which league it is. That is a separate setting on your profile from reminder emails, so turning one off leaves the other alone. Turning invitation emails off stops the email, not the invitation itself — you will still find it waiting on your leagues page.

Who else sees it

• Google handles sign-in and acts as an independent controller for your Google account. See Google's own privacy policy.
• Hostinger hosts the site and processes data on our behalf.
• Brevo delivers our reminder and invitation emails on our behalf, and receives your name and email address in order to do so. It is based in the EU. Brevo counts how many of our emails are opened and how often their links are followed; we have configured this so those counts are not linked to you individually.
• Anyone visiting the site sees your display name, your points, and — only if you have enabled it — your country on our leaderboard. The leaderboard is public: no account is needed to view it. We ask search engines not to index it, but that is a request, not a guarantee.
• Your predictions are shown according to the setting on your profile. By default a pick becomes visible to others only once that match has locked, shortly before kick-off — nothing you have called for a match still to come is shown. You can choose to keep every pick private, or to make them all public, including for matches still to play.

If you join a league, its members can see that you are in it, your role, and your figures on its table — the same name, country and figures the Global Leaderboard shows, so if you have chosen not to show your country it is not shown here either. A league can be public, in which case anyone — including people who are not signed in — can read it. Administrators of this site can read every league, including private ones.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

International transfers

Signing in with Google means your Google account data is processed by Google LLC in the United States. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection. All other processing takes place within the EU.

Cookies

We set only the session and security cookies required to keep you signed in. We use no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Your account and predictions are kept until you delete your account. Server access logs are retained by our host for a limited period and then rotated.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• See and correct your name and country on your profile page.
• Download everything we hold about you, from your profile page.
• Delete your account from your profile page. This permanently removes your name, email, country, and picture. Your past predictions are kept in anonymised form so other players' historical standings stay accurate.

You also have the right to object to processing, to request restriction, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
